Premier League Awards-November 2017 Announced

Premier League Awards-November 2017

Player of the Month-Mohamed Salah(LFC)

The Egyptian claimed his first PL award thanks to seven league goals from four matches for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah has been rewarded for his brilliant run of form in November with the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award. He scored twice in each of the victories against West Ham United, Southampton and Stoke City, and also netted in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Salah, the Premier League’s top scorer with 13 goals this season, received the most combined votes from a panel of experts, Premier League captains and fans to claim the prize ahead of six other nominees.

Burnley’s Robbie Brady, Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, Ashley Young of Manchester United, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi were also nominated.

Manager of the Month-Josep Guardiola(MCFC)

Guardiola became the second person to win three successive Manager of the Month awards after another 100% record.

Guardiola adds to his September and October accolades after guiding Manchester City to four wins from as many matches in November, as the Citizens closed in on what is now a record 15 consecutive PL victories, which they clinched at Swansea City on Wednesday.

The Spaniard matches the standard set by Antonio Conte last season when he helped himself to three monthly awards in succession on the way to guiding Chelsea to the 2016/17 Premier League title.

Man City beat Arsenal, Leicester City, Huddersfield Town and Southampton in November, helping Guardiola top a six-man shortlist including Conte, Sean Dyche, Jurgen Klopp, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger. The winner was selected by a combination of votes from a panel of experts and the public.

Goal of the Month-Wayne Rooney(EFC)

Rooney’s precise strike for Everton from inside his own half completed a hat-trick against West Ham on 29 November. Wayne Rooney’s incredible effort from his own half has earned the Everton forward the Carling Goal of the Month award for November.

“It’s one of – if not the best – a goal I’ve ever scored,” he told Everton’s official website. “I think I hit it as well as I’ve ever kicked a football!”

One of eight goals nominated, Rooney won thanks to the combined votes of a panel of experts and the public, who picked their favourite via the Carling Tap and Carling website.
