In a recent report provided by official Premier League stat keepers Opta, it has come up that 65.3 % of the total goals scored by Manchester City this season is either scored or assisted by a U 23 year old. In a team bolstering with raw pace upfront with youngsters Gabriel Jesus, Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling, it is quite understandable that they have been unstoppable this season, having set up a Premier League record of 15 straight victories, surpassing the legendary Arsenal team of 2002.

20-year old pacey forward Jesus has already scored 8 times and assisted twice in the 15 matches he has played in the league this season, adding two more goals in the 6 UEFA Champions League starts he has under his belt; Jesus is subject to receive a new contract at the club after just 9 months of joining. Evident by the fact that he has flourished so much under his manager Pep Guardiola, the Brazilian No. 9, has also helped a considerable amount in the build-up play for which City have been so dominating this season.

Jesus is set to earn a considerable increase in his wages, his present wage £70,000 a week to a mammoth £100,000 including performance based bonuses that could see his earnings rise significantly. Given his contribution to the great form of the team, it’s no surprise that Pep wants his main men to stay at the club for a long time and to see off any incoming offers for his star players.
