Manchester United To Go All Out For Juventus Defender
United to go all out for Juventus defender?
Ongoing defensive problems at the red side of Manchester has left United boss Jose Mourinho looking at possible options to bring in the coming transfer window. After losing key players as Phil Jones and Fellaini before the crucial Manchester derby and with news of Luke Shaw leaving the club looking happening than ever, Mourinho might have to break the bank to secure his targets in order to compete against the top teams in the league and tournaments
Independent later today reported that Juventus’ Brazilian left back Alex Sandro is on the team’s radar for quite some time and they hope to secure the 26 year old’s signatures before the end of the upcoming transfer window. A prime figure at Juventus, Alex Sandro hasn’t yet shined this season for his team as they sit on the second spot in the league standing and has lost his place to Kwadwo Asamoah in quite some important matches leaving no doubt he will be considering a move away from the club.
Having started just nine out of the possible sixteen matches in Seria A, Sandro has had a poor tackle winning rate of just 65% with a decent passing accuracy of 88%. Having won 44 duels, the strong built Brazilian defender has 13 clearances to his name which highlights his ability to win the ball in pressure situations effectively. Speaking on his offensive attributes, he has one goal and three assists to his name which is a big plus point for any fullback.
With Ashley Young taking up the left back position at United being a natural wide midfielder this season, it has led to quite a bit of defence lapse in tight situations and having a player of Sandro’s ability will surely help things take shape at the back four of a team which relies on defensive stability. It wouldn’t be a surprise if we see Jose going all out for the Brazilian coming transfer season and bolstering his back four to challenge for the title.
