Manchester United Confident To Land Chelsea Superstar

Manchester United to land PL superstar?

Manchester United have already faced some defensive issues this season, with Phil Jones being side lined following his international break and Lindelof not quite settling into the main team just yet. Reports from talkSport and Goal reveal that Manchester United may plot a move for unsettled Chelsea centre back David Luiz.

The 30 year old Brazilian has recently found himself out of Conte’s plans as he only made 1 Premier League appearance in the last 6 Chelsea matches and has caused quite a stir in opposition camps. Jose Mourinho may look to seal the deal in order to bolster his back four to push for the title in the latter half of the league.

Set piece specialist Luiz arrived from Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2016 and was Chelsea’s deadline day signing for a reported fee of $40 million and was a regular started for the defending Premier League champions until Andreas Christiansen took his place under Conte’s gameplay.

He has played 8 out of the possible 16 matches so far in the league and has a healthy passing accuracy of 87%. Although not a defender’s trait but useful somehow, he has scored 1 so far in the league. He however made 4 starts in the Champions league group stage and has won 15 duels with a tacking accuracy of 71.43%.
