ISL 17/18: We can probably see Komal Thatal in ISL
Just played a single game in U-17 WC, with his skills he had turned all the attractions towards himself. After the match he was termed as the “Wonder Kid “ of India. When he was benched in the next game the only question arised among the fan’s is why Komal had Benched? Various sources were reporting that Komal could join in FCPC as they are the front runners to sign the young forward.
Earlier it was reported Komal has left out Indian Arrows due to the dispute with the Coach Luis Norton de Matos. A number of Thatal’s teammates from the World Cup campaign will play for the Indian Arrows. He also turned down multiple offers from the I-League and even abroad.
After his left out from Indian Arrows many of the Clubs were approaching his agents. His agents were stated that Komal was interested in playing ISL.
Minerva Punjab FC CEO Ranjit Bajaj stated on Twitter that his side had approached the Sikkim-born youngster and promised a minimum of 10 games to him. However, the offer has been rejected.
Now, the youngster is expected to join the Stallions after having being pitched to various ISL sides by his agent. When asked to confirm the development, a senior official in the Pune camp was highly ambiguous in his response, suggesting a move could be on the cards for Thatal. The Pune side are likely to win the race to sign Thatal.
