CFC VS NEUFC: 5 Players to be watched for

The 2nd week of ISL is yet to start today, and we are seeing about the Match-6 the battle between CFC and NEUFC. When you see the previous stats CFC had won only one match, and NEUFC had started the season by a Draw whereas CFC had lost its first match. Both the team had not started the season with the win, So lets hope there will be a good entertainment.

1. Gregory Nelson (CFC)

The Netherlands Winger was the most expected player from the squad to get place in the Starting XI, even the fans were expecting him to play from the Beginning. As his performance vs FC Goa in the second half were impressed much, though he was failed to score but after his arrival to the field CFC attacking had became strong and several times they had tried their attack on FCG side.

2. Germanpreet Singh (CFC)

The Central Midfielder had not played the first match due to the minor injury however its confirmed he will play tomorrow. His arrival in the midfield will provide a wall to the defence and also a support to the strikers. Germanpreet represented the India U19 side during the 2014 AFC U-19 Championship qualifiers in 2013. He was also selected into the preliminary squad for the India U23 side for the 2014 Asian Games. Germanpreet made his Indian U23 debut against Uzbekistan U23 on 27 March 2015 in a 2016 AFC U-23 qualifier in the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Bangladesh.

3. Henrique Sereno (CFC)

The Skipper had failed to have a desired performance in the first match, but the team has full hope on him as he was a game changer. Sereno scored his first goal in ISL for Atlético de Kolkata, on 18 December 2016. It proved to be the equaliser as they went on to win the final of the Indian Super League on penalties, against Kerala Blasters FC.

4. Márcio de Souza Gregório Júnior aka Marcinho (NEUFC)

The former CSKA Sofia and Russian Premier League side FC Ufa’s Attacking medio will be vital for Northeast United this season.This Brazilian also has an experience of playing Turkish Super Lig.Northeast will be looking on this guy when it comes to scoring goal. He was awarded as the hero of the match vs Jameshdpur FC.

5. José Gonçalves (NEUFC)

The Portuguse Defender Played as a wall for his team in the match vs Jameshdpur FC. Gonçalves was eligible to represent Cape Verde, Portugal and Switzerland at international level. He chose to play for the second, earning three caps for the under-21 side and representing the nation at the 2007 UEFA European Championship, appearing 57 minutes in the 0–0 group stage draw to Belgium in an eventual group stage exit.
