Bundesliga giants will surely wanna win this group stage fixture in order to keep the pressure on PSG in hunt for the first place.

Anderlecht : It’s already confirmed that Anderlecht won’t qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League, but they shouldn’t lose hope just now, they still have a chance to qualify for the Europa League if they manage to snatch up the 3rd place. After the sacking of ex manager Rene Weiler, Anderlecht have been playing quite well, under new coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck. They sit on 3rd position currently in the Jupiler League. But the question is can they defeat Bayern Munich?
Present situation says Bayern are in hot form and a hot Bayern can’t be stopped by many. Bayern also defeated Anderlecht this season at home during the first fixture 3-0 and that was during Carlo Ancelotti era. But this time Anderlecht has a advantage as they play this fixture at home and will surely try to capitalise. Anderlecht will try to pull out what they did in 2007-08 season as they defeated Bayern 1-2 at the home of Bayern Munich, the Allianz Arena, one of the famous victories the club ever had. Vanhaezebrouck doesn’t have any major injury concerns to deal with but Najar(hamstring) will remain out for the fixture.
Bayern: Bayern currently are oozing with self belief and confidence, they sit on 1st place after 12 MatchDays of the Bundesliga, 6 points clear of 2nd placed Schalke. Though it’s early to call, but it already looks like another Bundesliga title is on the way for the Bavarians. In Champions League also, Bayern have already qualified for the knockout stages but due to the 3-0 loss against PSG in Ancelotti era it’s tough for Bayern to get the 1st place as PSG have a greater goal average too. Still though Bayern will look to win this one and keep the pressure on PSG. PSG also has a crunch clash on Wednesday too as they face Celtic who are in the hunt for a Europa League place, so a slip for Paris-Saint Germain would mean a lot for Bayern.
Now for team news, Heynckes does have injury concerns to deal with as Neuer, Ribery and Muller are set to be sidelined for the fixture. Neuer was already a long term absentee and will be out till January or February. Ribery and Muller aren’t match fit it seems and would not feature. Latest news is David Alaba(back) and Rafinha(ankle) got knocks during training and will not travel with the squad to Belgium. Though we could see the comebacks of Thiago, Boateng and Coman as they have travelled with the squad. I personally expect some rotations for this one as Bayern will be having a crucial clash on saturday against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga.
Possible line up – Bayern (4-2-3-1) : Ulreich; Kimmich, Hummels, Boateng, Bernat; Tolliso, Rudy; Robben, James, Coman; Lewandowski.
