Borussia Dortmund : Well many thought Dortmund will be the one to qualify alongwith Real Madrid for the Round of 16 of the Champions League. But things got totally wrong for the Borussens, Just 2 points from their 4 fixtures and those two points came against minnow Apoel Nicosia. As things stand BVB need a win against Tottenham and pray for a draw in Cyprus (Apoel vs Real Madrid) to keep their hopes alive for the knockout stages of the competition. But can struggling Dortmund pull-off a win against Tottenham? Seems improbable. Lukas Piszczek, Sebastian Rode and Marco Reus remains out. Sokratis(rib) and Toprak(knee) the two centre-backs are marked as doubts for the fixture. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who was suspended by BVB for the match against Stuttgart for “Internal reasons” returns to the line-up alongwith Christian Pulisic who was out with a muscle complaint.
Possible line up – Dortmund (4-3-3) : Bürki; Bartra, Sokratis, Zagadou, Guerreiro; Götze, Weigl, Castro; Yarmolenko, Aubameyang, Pulisic.
Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs are really putting up a great performance in the Champions League this time around. 4 matches, 10 points, 10 goal scored, 3 conceded and already qualified for the knockout stages simply Wow. But a defeat in Emirates Stadium at the hands of Arsenal 2-0 was a set back for Pochettino and Co. ahead of their clash against the struggling German giants Borussia Dortmund. Will they put up the same performance like they did in Wembley? 3-1 was the scoreline against BVB on MatchDay 2 alongwith some controversial decisions from the referee which favoured Spurs in someways though Spurs played really well that day and a win was also deserved. Now for team news, Mauricio Pochettino will be without Toby Alderweireld and Victor Wanyama for the rest of the year and could also extend, Erik Lamela also remains out. Else Pochettino has a full squad to pickfrom.
Possible line up – Tottenham (3-4-2-1) : Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Vertonghen; Aurier, Dembele, Winks, Davies; Alli, Eriksen; Kane.
