1.Impressive Girona.
Girona continued its strong debut campaign in Spain’s top division after fighting back for a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad on Friday. Girona extended its unbeaten streak to four games as it remained in 10th place, while Sociedad stayed in seventh.

2. Draw for North East United.

Pique’s absence comes after Argentina international Javier Mascherano was ruled out for a month with a muscle injury, leaving coach Ernesto Valverde with only two defenders for the crucial trip to the Mestalla in Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen.

Antonio Conte celebrated his 50th Premier League game as manager by watching his Chelsea side hammer West Bromwich Albion 4-0 at the Hawthorns on Saturday to make it four straight league defeats for the Baggies.

9. Rejuvenation of Suarez.
Luis Suarez scored twice to end a five-match scoring drought and help Spanish league leader Barcelona beat Leganes 3-0 on Saturday. Suarez found the net once in each half and substitute midfielder Paulinho scored late to give Barcelona its 11th win in 12 rounds.

10. Draw in Madrid Derby.
The Madrid rivals played to a scoreless draw at Atletico’s new venue on Saturday, leaving both teams further away from the Catalan club at the top of the Spanish league.
