Bengaluru FC will lock their horns against Mumbai City in the 4th match of Indian Super League this season tomorrow at Sree Kanteerava Stadium. They will make their much-awaited Indian Super League (ISL) debut when they cross swords with last season’s semi-finalists Mumbai City FC.

The Sree Kanteerava Stadium will witness a first when the home team, two-time I-League champions, takes to the field in the country’s new top-tier league.

“It is the beginning of a new era in this club’s history, but the boys know they can’t get carried away by the occasion. Mumbai City are a good side and we will have to be at our best if we are to take anything away from the clash,” BFC head coach Albert Roca said at the pre-match press conference.

In what has been billed as a mouth-watering clash by the purists, Alexandre Guimaraes and the boys will look to continue last season’s table-topping form and open their account with a win against Albert Roca’s ISL newcomers.

Team News :

Bengaluru FC :

Bengaluru have been shown the green light to field goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, with League rules allowing the Federation Cup champions to replace Lalthuammawia Ralte, who is set to miss at least four weeks with an ankle injury. Also missing out will be Dimas Delgado, who is set to miss out upto three weeks with an injury suffered in pre-season.

“It’s unfortunate that Dimas and Mawia picked up injuries but at the same time, I am happy that Gurpreet can fill the void in the goalkeeping position. He makes us secure and will play a crucial part tomorrow,” Roca said.

Sunil Chhetri, Udanta Singh and Miku are going to be the key players for Bengaluru FC to win the first match of this season of Indian Super League.

Mumbai City :

Mumbai City are likely to be without Indian duo Balwant Singh and Aiborlang Khongjee due to injuries. India international striker Balwant Singh suffered an ankle injury during the pre-season and will possibly miss the opening tie. Aiborlang has been ruled out for at least three-to-four matches.

Achille Emana and Rafa Jorda are going to be the two key players for Mumbai City to win the first game of the season.
