CFC vs FCG:Five Players To Be Watched Out For
The Former Champions CFC takes on FCG in their home ground, Chennai on 19/11/17. Both the team will fight for the win hardly as to start the season with the winning streak. The homeground advantage will be a positive think for CFC, but for FCG they did not lose a single game in “Marina Arena” in the previous three seasons of ISL.
The both team has some similarities that they were the 2015 season finalists. The same next season both the teams performance was very poor, both had finished the 2016 season consecutively in 7th & 8th position. For the past 3 seasons the 2 teams had never changed their Head coach, but for this season they are goin to play with whole new team.

1.Jeje Lalpekhula (CFC)
The Snipper who was being the part of CFC from the very first season gives the whole confidence in the attacking side. In 2015 season he was the one who had given 3 assit en route win the title in the crucial time, the same season where Mendoza was the hero of the league he was mostly assited by Jeje. On his recent goal with Myanmar made him to join in the list “Top 5 Indian Goal scorers”.He was the most appeared plyer in CFC. Jeje also has more fan base in Chennai & Tamil Nadu. Let we wait and see his performance in the upcoiming season.

2. Rene Mihelič (CFC)
The Slovenian Midfielder is going to play his first ISL ever, “Rene is a player with a fantastic CV. He is not only a winner but has great technique and at 29 could have his best saved for Chennaiyin FC in the ISL. I have been following him closely since he moved to Israel a few years back and always had him on top of our shortlist of foreigners when I got to know he is available. We look forward to a great season from him,” Chennaiyin FC head coach John Gregory stated.

3. Jerry Lalrinzuala (CFC)
The young Indian Left-Back is expected to be play for the whole 90 mins in all the game, recently in the AFC Asian Cup qualification in the match vs Myanmar he had played for the whole full time. In four years, Lalrinzuala has gone from being a rejected triallist in Mizoram to training at Metz and lining up against Helder Postiga.

4. Laxmikant Kattimani (FCG)
The Goa born goalkeeper had alreasy represented FCG for 2 seasons(2014, 2015). “In my opinion, Kattimani is the best Indian goalkeeper,” said Bruno at the ISL media day on Friday. The main key player has been retained by FCG while in 2016 he was returned to I-League 2nd division campaign for Dempo SC so he had missed that season.

5. Adrián Colunga (FCG)
This was the first ever ISL season for the Spanish striker. The 32-year-old Adrian Colunga has formerly represented the likes of Getafe, Las Palmas and Brighton & Hove Albion in England. Colunga, who has over 14 years of experience in Europe’s top divisions, is expected to compete for the striker’s spot with Ferran Corominas. Recently in the pre-season his performance was good out of 7 games he had scored 4 goals.
