Giroud proclaimes he’s still happy to be in Arsenal colour
The Frenchman said he still loves to share the dressing room with players at Arsenal despite not featuring from the start in eleven games this season.
This year’s Puskas Award winner had netted only once since the starting day against Leicester and played every game time coming off the bench. He did start all four European venues but that did not entirely convinced Arsene Wenger to book a opening berth for him.
Even so, Giroud paid no heed to his transfer rumours linking him to a way out of the club.
“For the moment, I am not questioning myself about my future”, he told UK newspaper after he scored a goal in 2-0 friendly win over Wales with the national team, ” I am happy at Arsenal and I am fine with the decision to stay because I want to.”
“I am thinking that the story between the club and myself is not over and not finished. I keep believing in my quality and I keep the faith. I have a lot of objectives with Arsenal and my country so I will always try to move forward and keep scoring.”
Giroud had been an important squad member since joining the club in 2013 and proved to be the match winner on several occasions but most recently he has fallen down from the interest of his manager on the forward line. But Oliver kept supporting Wenger as he is keen to put back his brilliance on the pitch.
“Arsene always supports me and there is a lot of trust in each other. He trusts in me and I try to give it back to him back on the pitch.”
