1.Good Pre season results for Mumbai FC.
Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC have returned from their pre-season camp in Spain, winning four matches, drawing two and losing just one against various club teams.

2. No worries for Spain even without Costa.
Spain will remain without Diego Costa at least until next year, and nobody is really worried about it. Thanks to a good run by its deep stock of strikers, La Roja is well-served in attack seven months out from the World Cup. Alvaro Morata, Iago Aspas, and Rodrigo all have been in top form, helping to put aside any talk about Costa’s absence.

3. New faces for England.
England manager Gareth Southgate put a positive spin on preparations for friendlies against Germany and Brazil after a spate of withdrawals due to injury, saying he relished the chance to introduce new faces ahead of next year’s World Cup. Tottenham Hotspur trio Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Harry Winks were ruled out of the initial 25-man squad for the coming days’ fixtures, and Fabian Delph, Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson have since also pulled out.

4. Departure of Aguero ?
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has said he could leave the club when his contract ends in 2019 to play for his boyhood team Independiente in Argentina.

5. Fine for Watford and Stoke.
Watford and Stoke City have been fined 25,000 pounds ($32,752) and 20,000 pounds respectively for failing to control their players during their Premier League meeting last month, the English Football Association said.

6. Italy face World Cup nightmare.
For football giants Italy the next few days could be a nightmare as they face a double-headed playoff against Sweden to avoid the humiliation of missing the World Cup for the first time in 60 years.
“A World Cup without Italy isn’t a World Cup” has become the catchphrase of many Italians — four-time world champions– who are perplexed at how the once-mighty Azzurri have fallen so low.

7. Tribute to Paris attack victims.
The French football federation says a tribute to the 130 people killed in attacks two years ago in Paris, and to war veterans, will be paid during the friendly match against Wales.
The French team hosts Wales at the Stade de France on Friday in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis as part of its preparation for next year’s World Cup. On Nov. 13, 2015, suicide bombers blew themselves up outside the stadium during France’s friendly against Germany, killing one bystander.

The Telstar 18 has a retro black-and-white design harking back to the original Adidas Telstar ball used for the 1970 World Cup.

9. 4-1 win for Croatia in the qualifiers.
Croatia took a decisive step towards World Cup qualification on Thursday, overwhelming Greece for a 4-1 victory in the first leg of their playoffs.

10. Penalty clinched the game for Switzerland.
A penalty awarded for a disputed hand ball gave Switzerland a controversial 1-0 victory over Northern Ireland in the first leg of their World Cup playoff on Thursday.
A volley by Xherdan Shaqiri struck Corey Evans’ shoulder as the Northern Ireland midfielder attempted to block the shot.
