Early Life :
Verratti was born in Pescara, and grew up in L’Aquila. As a child, he supported Juventus and idolised Alessandro Del Piero, the team’s Italian international offensive playmaker. Verratti’s talent was noticed at an early age, and he was made offers to join the youth academies of Atalanta and Internazionale, but joined his local club Pescara for €5,000. After an impressive performance for Pescara’s under-16 team against A.C. Milan, the Lombardy club offered €300,000 to sign the midfielder, but Verratti decided to remain at Pescara.

Career :
From 2000 to 2008, Verratti represented the junior side of Pescara. During that period, the footballer went through numerous the ranks in the club’s youth system. In 2008, Marco joined the senior team of Pescara. At first, the midfielder featured only in small number of matches, but within some time he became more experienced and the head coach started to give him more playing practice. The period of time from 2008 to 2012 was lined with two goals produced in 74 matches. Marco was the team’s best player during the 2011/2012 season.
In 2012, Verratti was hired by Paris Saint-Germain. The midfielder debuted for the new squad on 11 August 2012 in a game with Lorient.
On international level, Marco Verratti played for the Italy national youth side at U-19, U-20 and U-21 levels. From 2010 to 2012, he appeared in eleven international matches. In 2012, he debuted for the national squad of his motherland.
He already had played 139 times for PSG and managed to score 5 goals.

Quick, creative, agile, and technically gifted central mid-field playmaker, with notable dribbling skills, quick reactions, and close ball control, Verratti is known for his confidence on the ball and ability to retain possession in tight spaces when under pressure, due to his low centre of gravity and resulting balance.
