Ter Stegen to feature in the PL soon?
Marc-Andre ter Stegen has proved himself to be one of the elite list of players who are known to play the game and will certainly start in any team he goes to. With recent performances of high quality and agility between the sticks, reports both in England and Spain reveal that the German international may be persuaded by Arsene Wenger to lure him away from Camp Nou to join him at the Emirates to bring back Arsenal into the global scenario again.
With the news of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil leaving Arsenal next summer looking quite imminent, Arsenal also failed to bring in Thomas Lemar on the dead line day even after an audacious bid of £92m as Monaco rejected it further blocking the move of want away star Sanchez to join Manchester City.
Barcelona have made a bright start to the new season too, leaving behind the ill timed departure of their superstar winger Neymar to join PSG in a world record fee of £222m. Since then, Barcelona have proved their true worth and have put up some good performances against both La Liga and European competition teams alike. Ter Stegen has also stepped up his game and has proved to be a vital member of the Barcelona team in recent seasons.
The 25 year old has played in all 14 matches for the cules this summer which includes all the La Liga and Champions League ties and has a combined clean sheet count of 10 which is definitely a clue as to why the European giants are monitoring him. Along with proper agility in dives and saves, Ter Stegen is also a shrewd passer of the ball, giving an extra option in the build up play which is any manager’s dream.
With Arsenal knocking on the door, whether ter Stegen will really fancy a move to London in the coming transfer season remains to be discovered.
