City extended their winning run to 15 games in all competitions with a 4-2 win against Serie A leaders Napoli on Tuesday, with the last 14 being wins. The win on the midweek book their place in the knockout round of the Champions League and the focus can be momentarily turned to the Premier League games until the end of the calender year.
The Citizens have a 5-point lead over cross city rivals United but Pep’s boys will have a challenge against the Gunners and only time will tell whether they will manage to keep their unbeaten record intact.
Benjamin Mendy remains a long-term absence for City, while captain Vincent Kompany is out with a calf complaint.
Arsenal are placed in 5th position in the league table, 9 points behind the hosts Man City.

Shkodran Mustafi and Danny Welbeck are both out, but on course to return after the international break.Calum Chambers (hip) has overcome injury so is available, but David Ospina (groin) remains sidelined.
