With four wins and a draw in their last five fixtures across all competitions, it’s been a positive few weeks for the Bianconeri, who have responded well to what was a slow start to October following the draw to Atalanta and defeat to Lazio.
Thumping wins over Udinese and SPAL before that all-important victory last Saturday against Milan at the San Siro ensured that Juve have kept in touch with Napoli and Inter at the top of the table with only three points separating themselves and the first-placed Partenopei going into Matchday 12.
Juve are without winger Marko Pjaca, along with Moroccan defender Medhi Benatia, who is out with an ankle injury.
The newcommers have had a miserable campaign so far, and it’s not going to get any easier as they have to travel to face the reigning Serie A champs. Benevento have yet to win a game in their debut Serie A campaign and they certainly won’t have much hope of ending that awful run against Juventus on Sunday.
Benevento, who have yet to even pick up a single point, also have the worst attack in the division, with a measly four goals scored so far. Not surprisingly, they also have the worst defense, having shipped 29 in just 11 games, and they are bound to concede a few more by the time the final whistle sounds against Juventus.
Benevento have a host of players out of Sunday’s game, with Marco D’Alessandro, Andrea Costa, Fabrizio Melara and Fabio Lucioni all missing.
