Former Manchester City forward joins Levante on loan from Villareal
La Liga club Levante has secured the services of Villareal forward on emergency loan until the end of the season.
Former Manchester City forward Enes Unal has joined Levante after the club got permission from the league in order to manage with long term injuries to Nano Mesa and Roger Marti who are out with cruciate ligament damage.
Unal originally joined Villareal from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, having already spent a season on loan for FC Twente in Eredevisie.
Unal was very impressive for Twente as he scored 18 goals in 32 appearances in the Dutch league. These performances were enough for the Yellow Submarines to come knocking at Man City’s doors and they finally signed him for £12m.
But the Turkish starlet has not been able to replicate the same form for Villareal. It is understandable that the 20-year old striker will need time to adapt to the Spanish style of play, as of now he has made six appearances for the Spanish side scoring only once.
So for now, Unal will be heading to join Levante on emergency loan deal, a deal which has a clause included, which will allow Villareal to recall the striker during the winter transfer window.
