Big blow for Bayern as Joshua Kimmich will miss the clash against Dortmund
Bayern Munich’s redemption back to top has been taken care of after the arrival of Jupp Heynckes and since his arrival Bayern seemed a much more composed and a lot better side. But injury issues are a major concern for the 72-year old German coach.
With Ribery out for indefinite amount of time and with him players like Bernat, Muller and Neuer are also out injured, the Bavarian club has a stern test ahead in Dortmund and recently adding to the list of absentees is the young german right back Joshua Kimmich.
Kimmich is out of the Der Klassiker due to stomach upset. The 22-year old full back has not travelled with the team and will be replaced by Rafinha.
The young right back is yet to miss a Bundesliga fixture for the Bavarian club, scoring once and registering three assists in his 10 league outings. Kimmich’s presence on the right flank will be a great miss for Bayern, but there is another news which can take the heat of the situation is that Jerome Boateng may be back for the meeting at Westfalenstadion.
The 29-year old centre back has travelled with the team to Dortmund and will go through a series of tests before the start of the match.
On the other hand Dortmund has also been hit with a lot of injuries, players like Erik Durm, Marco Rues, Sebastien Rode and Lukas Piszczek are all sidelined and Daniel Axel Zagadou will miss the clash due to suspension.
