1.ISL opening match at Kochi.
The final of the fourth edition of Indian Super League (ISL) will be held in Kolkata while the inaugural game has been shifted to Kochi. As a result, the season opening game that was scheduled to earlier scheduled to be organised in Kolkata, has been moved to Kochi.

2. Kicking a fan instead of a ball.
Patrice Evra was sent off on Thursday night after kicking a fan of his own team prior to a Europa League game. The Marseille defender and other players were involved in a confrontation before going on to lose to Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes. The former Manchester United and Juventus player was identified as kicking a fan in his head.

3. Packed up practice season for Fc Goa.
FC Goa is set to play three friendlies against Bengal giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan AC after returning home following a successful 20 days of training and pre-season friendlies in Spain.

4. National calls for Chelsea stars.
England have called up the uncapped Tammy Abraham, Joe Gomez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek for their friendlies against Germany and Brazil at Wembley this month, the Football Association said on Thursday.

5. Lloris out for a couple of weeks.
Deschamps said that France captain Lloris had torn a muscle in his groin during the London club’s 3-1 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League. Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will be out of action with a groin injury.

6. Injury break for Ghoulam.
Ghoulam, regarded by the club as one of the best players in Europe in his position and ever-present in the league this season, limped off after half an hour of Wednesday’s Champions League match at home to Manchester City. Club confirmed on Thursday that he had suffered a serious knee injury.

7. New contract for the winger.
Leicester City winger Demarai Gray has signed a new four-year contract to keep him at the English Premier League club until June 2021.

8. Europa League updates.
Arsenal qualified despite dropping their first points in Group H as they were held 0-0 at home by Red Star Belgrade.
Troubled AC Milan were held to a goalless draw by AEK Athens for the second time in a fortnight in the Europa League on Thursday and Everton were dumped out by Olympique Lyonnais after a 3-0 defeat in France.

9. Tough time of the Champions.
Consecutive defeats to newcomer Girona in the Spanish league and to Tottenham in the Champions League have left the team reeling. Madrid struggled in both matches despite playing with its top players, prompting a wave of criticism.
Although Cristiano Ronaldo dismissed talk of a crisis and coach Zinedine Zidane said he is not worried, they both admitted that there’s some work to do to get Madrid back on track.

10. “I quit”.
The technical director and vice-president of the Korea Football Association has quit amid the national team’s run of poor form and a controversy surrounding former coach Guus Hiddink.
