Transfer rumours are one of the most exciting parts of football season. Rumours need not be 100% true everytime but they can be pretty much effective sometime to keep track of your favourite club’s future endeavours. LNTUP presents to you today’s top transfer rumours from well known sources across the globe.

1. “Aston Villa considering selling Scott Hogan”

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce wants to add 2-3 players to his roster in January transfer window. But, they need to sell some players before making any fresh move and according to The Sun, £12m January signing from Brentford, Scott Hogan might be one of the players to be shown the exit door. Hogan has so far failed to impress at all scoring just once in 27 appearances. According to reports Villa manager Steve Bruce has ended his trust on the forward and has already decided to move on.

2. “Arsenal lining up Mexican winger to replace Alexis Sanchez”

The Daily Mail suggests Arsenal are readying a bid for PSV Eindhoven and Mexican winger Hirving Lozano(22) in case Alexis Sanchez leaves in January.

Arsene Wenger has already confirmed that Sanchez might leave in January. Lozano, who has just recently joined the Dutch side has set Eredivisie on fire scoring 9 goals in 8 games so far including 3 assists. He was linked with Manchester City and Manchester United before his move to the Dutch side. PSV are willing to keep hold of Lozano and will only consider selling him if his £30m release clause is met.

3. “Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Tottenham and Everton in four-way battle for Besiktas forward”

Turkish striker Cenk Tosun has been in sublime form for Besiktas, both in Europe and domestically. Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Newcastle had been scouting the forward and now Everton have also joined the race according to Turkish outlet Haberturk. Many German clubs are eager to secure his services too but Tosun previously expressed his desire to play in England. The Daily Mail suggests interested parties must fork out £20m in January to snap up the Turkish hitman.

4. “Manchester United interested In Meunier”

Belgian right-back Thomas Meunier is reportedly on Jose Mourinho’s radar. Manchester United haven’t addressed the right-back area recently. They have been using Antonio Valencia at right-back position which isn’t natural for him. Mourinho wants a new right-back and Meunier certainly fits the bill. After Dani Alves’ arrival at Paris Saint-Germain, Meunier has become second choice right-back and that might propel a move elsewhere.

Meunier himself has recently stated that he feels like “a second option” after Alves’ arrival. According to Mundo Deportivo via TMW, Juventus and Real Madrid are also said to be interested in the 26-year-old right-back.

5. “Jose Mourinho has identified Spanish U-21 midfielder to strengthen his midfield”

Manchester United are ready to make an official bid for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler. According to The Sun, Mourinho believes Soler can form the core of the Red Devils midfield for years to come. The 20-year-old Spaniard has started the season brightly so far scoring a goal and assisting further 4 in 9 La Liga appearances. With Fellaini and Herrera are at the last years of their contracts and Carrick is also set to leave after this season, £30m acquisition of Soler might turn out to be a bargain.

6. “Juventus interested in Andre Gomes”

Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes has failed miserably since moving to Barcelona from Valencia for €35m, plus €20m in add-ons. Manchester United and Tottenham were previously linked with a move for the 24-year-old Portuguese. But, now it seems that Juventus will end up landing Gomes as Corriere dello Sport suggests Massimiliano Allegri has identified Gomes to fill the void in midfield created since Paul Pogba’s departure. A move to the Old Lady might be the best option for Gomes at this moment considering his inability to settle at the Nou Camp.

7. “PSG made Coutinho their priority target for next summer”

Liverpool attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho is drawing a battle between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona for his signature. The 25-year-old Brazilian was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona last summer but Liverpool halted any proceeding from La Liga giants.

Now, TF1 has claimed that PSG have made Philippe Coutinho their priority target for next summer transfer window. Neymar is already doing his best to convince Coutinho to join him at the Parc des Princes but according to ESPN Coutinho is believed to have set his sights fixed on a move to the Nou Camp.

8. “Vidal drops exit hint through social media”

Barcelona right-back Aleix Vidal has been rumoured to leave Nou Camp after a series of injuries along with fierce competition for starting XI spot halted his progress since his move from Sevilla in 2015. Vidal’s recent social media activity added fuel to that speculation. According to Sport, Vidal started following them within hours after they had posted a transfer story linking him with a move to his former club Sevilla. Although Ernesto Valverde is giving Vidal enough chances, a return to Sevilla might be the best option for him right now considering the addition of Nelson Semedo in the summer.

9. “Liverpool eyeing 23-year-old Santos defender”

Jurgen Klopp is considering making a move for Brazilian left-back Zeca. Zeca has been extensively scouted by Liverpool from the last 12 months. According to AS, he was a target for Liverpool and Benfica last summer. Zeca’s representatives held talks with Valencia over a £11m move but it never came to fruition.

The Sunday Mirror now claims that Liverpool, who have opted out of the deal last summer due to work permit issues, is now actively back in the race as Zeca has now an Italian passport and could move to any European club. Santos fans have threatened Zeca for criticising the club and his lawyers are unhappy with the lack of security provided by the club. The issue is now a matter of court. Santos have confirmed they won’t stand in Zeca’s way if he decides to move away. A £2m offer might be enough to land the former Brazil U-21 international.

10. “Aston Villa, West Brom and Leicester in for Carrick”

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick could be set for a shock move away from Old Trafford after seeing his first team gametime limited. The 36-year-old former England international has just played one game this season in Carabao Cup. He is currently sidelined through injury. But, he will find it very difficult to get back to the first team as Pogba, Herrera, Matic all are ahead of him in pecking order. According to Mirror, Premier League sides West Brom, Leicester and Championship side Aston Villa are trying to lure away the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder. Carrick could be available for as little as £1.35m.

11. “Guardiola wants Isco at any cost”

Manchester City are confident of landing the 25-year-old Spanish international midfielder Isco from Real Madrid. Isco has been a long-term target for the Blue half of Manchester. Isco was on the verge of joining his former coach Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad, only to be lured away by Real Madrid. Since then, he has been linked with City several times. Now, according to Spanish publication Don Balon, Pep Guardiola wants Isco at Manchester City at any cost.

Isco has been recently rewarded with a mammoth new contract at Real Madrid with a whooping £637m release clause. But, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss is pretty much confident of convincing Isco to join his force at the Etihad.

12. “Joshua Kimmich on Barcelona’s radar”

Bayern Munich and Germany international midfielder Joshua Kimmich is reportedly being targeted by Barcelona. Kimmich, who has been extensively linked with a move to Manchester City to play under his former coach Pep Guardiola, has impressed so far this season and arguably the most consistent performer of the Bavarian giants this season. Diario Sport cites a report in Sport Bild claiming the the Catalan giants are now willing to offer upto €50m to beat Manchester City and to secure the services of the 22-year-old German. Bayern’s sporting director has quickly responded to the rumours claiming that Kimmich is of more value than €50m and Bayern won’t sell him at such a price.

13. “Ronaldo wants Guedes to replace injured Bale”

Valencia winger Goncalo Guedes, on loan from Paris Saint-Germain has lit up La Liga this season. His explosive form has helped Valencia sitting on the second spot at the league table right now. Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly impressed with his international teammate’s form and wants Guedes to replace injured Gareth Bale at Real Madrid.

According to Diario Gol’s Fernando Rodrigo(h/t Alex Wood of the Daily Star), both Ronaldo and Guedes are represented by Jorge Mendes who has a close relationship with Madrid president Florentino Perez. Perez, himself is said to be frustrated by Bale’s frequent injuries and trying to sign Guedes to please Ronaldo. With Neymar and Mbappe as guaranteed first choice starters at PSG, Guedes might be allowed to leave next season. But, the French giants will surely demand a hefty amount from the Los Blancos for the 20-year-old Portuguese international.

 

14. “Emre Can finally on his way to Juventus?”

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Juventus are keen to land Emre Can and they have already held talks with the 23-year-old German’s representatives. Juventus tried to sign Can in the recently concluded summer transfer window but their £22.6m offer was turned down by Liverpool. Can’s contract at Anfield is set to expire at the end of this season. He can hold talks and sign pre-agreement from January itself. Can is heavily expected to leave the Merseyside club even after admiring the atmosphere there. But, Liverpool are adamant they won’t sell Can in January and rather would like to see him leaving for free next summer.
