Manchester united got hard fought win over a spurs side that looked less threatening without their talisman Harry Kane.
This weekend’s opening game was a bit of a dull match for seventy minutes, but jose’s super sub Anthony Martial did the trick for the Red devils as he grabbed the winner at the 81st minute.

Here are the 5 talking points from Old Trafford

A game of tactics and patience: It was a must win game for Manchester united as they can see themselves 8 points adrift to Manchester city. Both team has their own star men injured such as Kane and Pogba played very safely.
both team had some chances but Manchester united were really patient and scored their goal to snatch the win.

Alderwiereld and Vertonghen surely one of Europe’s best: Two of the best center backs in the world football at the moment proved yet again that they are the best.
Both Lukaku and Rashford had a tough time on the pitch up against them.
But Lukaku did managed to shove Alderweireld once which led to the goal.
Apart from that mistake they looked absolutely comfortable throughout game handling the Red Devils’ attack.

Jones and Baily back: Jose wanted his favorite defenders to fit for this match and luckily he got them back for this big game.
And Jones and Baily showed again why Jose love them more as they were brilliant and controlled the Spurs attack very comfortably.

Trafford, a hard nut to crack: Manchester united are the only side in Europe across the top 5 leagues which haven’t conceded a goal yet.
That surely tells that Jose weaved his magic again. Old Trafford was lacking its fear factor when Van gaal and Moyes was in-charge but Jose made it again the fortress which Sir Alex Ferguson built.

“Harry kane” team: Pep Guardiola addressed spurs as the “Harry Kane team” back in September which was a bit of a banter but now it really looks like spurs are in trouble without their prolific striker.
Midweeks lost against West Ham and today it looks like they are in a bit of trouble. With Real Madrid next to play in the Champions League they surely need their talisman back.
