Though they are playing quite well in the Bundesliga placed in 6th position with 15 points, scoring 10 and conceding 7, but things totally went wrong in the German Cup, as they got defeated 1-0 at the hands of the Wolves on Wednesday. Will they be able to comeback against mighty Borussia Dortmund? Only time will tell. Andre Breitenreiter has no fresh injury concerns to deal with and is also a plus point of his team that not many players get injured frequently for him. Though he will be missing the services of Brazilian defender Felipe (back problem) who may return in January.
Possible line up Hannover (4-3-2-1) – Tschauner; Korb, Anton, Sane, Albornoz; Schwegler, Bakalorz, S. Maier; Harnik, Karaman; Füllkrug.
The big boys Borussia Dortmund started the season on a high note and still they are continuing the same though their last two Bundesliga outings didn’t go as planned against RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt (lost and a draw respectively), though still they top the table on Goal difference from 2nd positioned Bayern Munich.
Their DFB POKAL outing on Tuesday was a success as they defeated FC Magdeburg at home convincingly with a 5-0 scoreline, Gonzalo Castro, Alexander Isak, Andriy Yarmolenko, Marc Bartra and Shinji Kagawa all scoring for the away side. Now it remains to be seen if they can continue the same against defensively strong side Hannover on MatchDay 10. Raphael Guerreiro and Andre Schuerrle are back from injuries as they got some minutes in Magdeburg. Sokratis will also be back on action against Hannover as he has served his one Match ban against Eintracht Frankfurt on MatchDay 9. Though Bosz will be sweating over the fitnesses of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Ömer Toprak as they are struggling with muscle and thigh injuries respectively though Aubameyang is likely to feature from the start. Marco Reus, Sebastian Rode, Lukasz Piszczek, Eric Durm all remain out with injuries.
Possible line up Dortmund (4-3-3) – Bürki; Bartra, Sokratis, Zagadou, Guerreiro; Castro, Weigl, Gotze; Yarmolenko, Aubameyang, Pulisic.
