The football carnival in India has just got to its busines end and epic clashes are what we are waiting to see. One of those epic clashes will take place in Goa when England will face USA in the quarterfinals of FIFA U17 World Cup. So lets have a look at the 5 players whom we should keep an eye on:

1 Timothy Weah (USA)

Timothy is son of famous Liberian footballer George Weah, he is also a Balon d’Or winner and newly elected president of Liberia. His son has been in tremendous form back here in India and has impressed everyone with his inch perfect passing and excellent goal scoring ability. he scored a hattrick against Paraguay in the round of 16 as USA cruished past their opponents with a 5-0 scoreline.

2 Phil Foden (ENGLAND)

This teenage playmaker has been the centre of discussion for England and Man City supporters. He maybe the next big thing on English football and can also be the homegrown talent which Manchester City craves for. A silky, left-footed playmaker, Foden may only be 17 but he is always positively unfazed by any surroundings, he is just sheer class on the ball, he is very elusive on the same time he is quick but very deceptive on challenged, all in all he is treat to watch. With 15 goals in 31 appearances for the Man city under-18s he surely caught the eye of Pep Guardiola. As he then featured for some of the pre season matches but he is definitely a star in the making!

3 Josh Sargent (USA)

He was also called for the U20 World Cup side that was held in Korea. He plays for ST Loius Scott Gallagher, but his impressive performances have earned him a deal with German club Weder Bremen. The Bundeliga side was monitoring the US number 9 for some time and they have finally agreed on a deal and Sargent is expected to join the club in January 2018 and will sign the contract there after.

Angel Gomes was one of the known names among a lot of unknown talents. This lad from Manchester United has already featured for the Red Devils in Premier League and now in the absence of Jadon Sancho, Gomes will be expected to step up game to fill in the gap. Gomes is deadly from free-kicks and the people in India have witnessed it already. England will be looking up to Gomes for set up play and distributing balls to open the mouth of goal for his fellow team mates.

5 Rhian Brewster ( ENGLAND)

This lad from Liverpool has impressed several people including club manager Jurgen Klopp. His brilliant strike from the free-kick against Mexico was one of the key moments for which the Young Lions win 3-2 over Mexico. The young forward is swift and links well with Phil Foden and Mceachran to open the face of goal. England will be hoping for more of the same from this lad from Liverpool.
