Lyon release statement confirming no buy-back clause in Mariano deal for Real Madrid
Lyon have officially released a statement confirming that there is no buy-back clause in Mariano Díaz’s deal from Real Madrid.
Lyon signed Mariano during the summer transfer window for a reported €8 million and the latest revelations come after certain Spanish outlets linked Mariano with a return to Madrid.
Prior to the clash against Everton in the Europa League yesterday, the club released the following statement:
“Olympique Lyonnais wishes to recall that there is no buyback clause in the transfer of Mariano Díaz, contrary to what some Spanish media claim.
Olympique Lyonnais had precisely explained the conditions of the transfer in its press release dated June 30, 2017, namely a transfer amount of € 8 million to which could be added an interest of 35% on the capital gain of a possible future transfer.
All other information than that given in the release of Olympique Lyonnais are therefore incorrect.”

Mariano has been in red hot-form ever since joining Lyon, scoring 7 goals in 9 appearances so far and is yet to loose a match.
