Adelaide United continue to impress in the new A-League season. They came from behind to draw Wellington Phoenix in their season opener. While on match-day 2 it was an even better thriller as two late goals sunk a wasteful Brisbane Roar 2-1. Four points from two away games and the new manager Marco Kurz cannot wish for a better start to his life down under.

Meantime, Melbourne Victory are coming on back-to-back defeats at home turf. Their 1-0 loss to Sydney FC is followed by the derby defeat to Melbourne City last week. This is the first time in 159 games that Victory lost two league games on the bounce at home, which was in the 2005/06 season.

Ryan Kitto: 

Kitto started his career with West Torrens Birkalla, before signing for A-League club Adelaide United.  He made his debut on 26 October 2013 for Adelaide United against Central Coast Mariners.

In February 2015 returned to his home club West Torrens Birkalla.

After a sensational season with West Torrens Birkalla, where Kitto netted 17 goals in 28 appearances, he signed his second professional A-League deal, this time with Newcastle Jets, signing on as an injury replacement player after a long term injury to Labinot Haliti.  Kitto made his Newcastle debut in Round 7 of the 2015–16 A-League season, coming on for Nigel Boogaard in the 82nd minute in a 0–0 draw against Adelaide United.

Kitto had one of his best career games in the final match of the 2015–16 A-League season against Central Coast Mariners, getting a hat-trick of assists.

On 23 May 2016, Kitto returned to Adelaide United.

This season he scored against Brisbane Roar FC equalizing for his team. Later Adelaide went on to win it 2-1.


Johan Absalonsen:

Johan Hindsgaul Absalonsen (born 16 September 1985) is a Danish professional football player who plays for A-League club Adelaide United. He has become a top winger and regular goalscorer for Adelaide United FC.

He has played two games and scored one goal for the Denmark National Football Team.

He has scored 2 goals from 2 appearances this season for Adelaide United. He is the team’s goal machine. All eyes will be on him today, whenever Adelaide is set to attack.


Leroy George:

Leroy Martin Giovanni George (born 21 April 1987) is a Dutch footballer of Surinamese descent, who plays in Australia’s A-League for Melbourne Victory.

His natural position is as a right forward or right winger, but he has also proven to be useful on the left wing and as a striker while at FC Utrecht and NEC

He has played 2 matches for Netherlands U19 team and scored none, and 7 for Netherlands U21 national team scoring a single goal.

He was exceptional for Melbourne Victory in their last match, the derby against Melbourne City FC, and was the lone scorer for his team.
