Argentine Playmaker set to leave for £26m
Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore can leave the French capital if the Premier League duo meet their £26m asking price. CHELSEA and Liverpool could battle it out for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore. The Argentine has been told he is free to leave the French capital when the January transfer window opens.
PSG wants to balance the books following the massive arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. And Pastore, 28, is just one of the players ready to leave PSG with Premier League suitors interested. Chelsea and Liverpool are interested having been long-term admirers of the playmaker they can land the player if they stump up PSG’s £26million asking price.
The Premier League duo also face competition from Inter Milan for his signature. Pastore has started just two league matches this campaign and has already found the net on two occasion. His lack of game time has impacted his role for his national side having been left out of their World Cup qualifying double header. He has growing fears that if Argentina secure qualification for Russia, he will be left out of the team entirely.
