1. Blue Tigers are at AFC ASIA CUP 2019.
India have secured direct qualification to the 2019 AFC Asian Cup as a result of their 4-1 win over Macau in the qualifier played at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium at Bangaluru, on Wednesday evening.
The Blue Tigers ‘ last appearance at the 2011 Asian Cup was when they had qualified through the AFC Challenge Cup route.
Goals by Rowllin Borges (28′), Sunil Chhetri (60′) and Jeje Lalpekhlua (90+2′) was added to by Lam Seng’s bizarre own goal in the 70th minute while Nicholas Tarrao (37’) was able to equalise once in the game for Macau.

2. Fox sports is not being deprived from WC 2018.
The failure of the United States men’s team to qualify for next year’s World Cup will not impact on Fox Sports’s plans to televise the tournament, a right for which it paid $200 million, the network said on Wednesday.
Fox Sports won the English-language rights to air the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in the U.S. from ESPN as part of a $400 million deal struck in 2011 when few would have predicted that the American team would fail to qualify for the 2018 tournament in Russia.
“Last night’s World Cup qualifying results do not change FOX Sports’ passion for the world’s biggest sporting event,” the company said in a statement.

Paulo Henrique Chagas de Lima (born 12 October 1989), commonly known as PH Ganso or Ganso (lit. goose in Portuguese) , is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for the Spanish club Sevilla FC and the Brazil national team as an attacking midfielder.
In 2009, he received a nomination for the Brazilian Football Confederationaward for “Breakthrough Player” of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, given to the best rookie of the competition.

4. Swollen adductor muscle in the right groin.
Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas could miss next week’s Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur after suffering a leg injury, Spanish media reported on Wednesday.
The Spanish club said in a statement that Navas had been diagnosed with a “swollen adductor muscle in his right groin”.
Spanish media reported that the Costa Rican was not set to feature against Getafe in La Liga on Saturday and may not be back in time for the European clash at the Santiago Bernabeu three days later.
Navas sustained the injury while on international duty with Costa Rica, whom he helped reach next year’s World Cup thanks to a 1-1 draw against Honduras on Saturday.

5. Vidal backtracks over retirement.
Arturo Vidal produced a 180-degree turn on Wednesday insisting he was a “warrior” who would “never abandon” Chile, just hours after seemingly announcing his retirement.
“Every time I’m called, I’ll be available to the national team,” the 30-year-old said on Twitter. On Tuesday night, back-to-back Copa America winners Chile were knocked out of World Cup qualifying following a 3-0 defeat in Brazil.
After which, Bayern Munich midfielder Vidal appeared to announce on Twitter that his international career was over. “Thank you lads, for everything, for all these years together… for teaching me and for showing a country that with effort and work anything is possible in life,” he wrote in Spanish, adding that his “soul is crushed”.
