A deserving brace from Younes Delfi and single stroke from Allahyar Sayyad and Namdari composed a famous victory over the warlords Germans to move beyond the group stages with a game still in hand.

Sayyad and Delfi combined truly to unleash such massive destruction, beautifully crafting the win with mesmerizing finishes and elegant efforts. German U17 keeper Luka Pogmann was in the receiving end of those four goals which turned out to be a horror story to be written in the history of the competition.

Iran proved to be a tough opponent to face as they enraged their form in the Asian championship. Sayyad, one of those contributors, was the heart of the midfield unstoppable at moments and lethal in his approach. Shahiri also registered to assist in the game as Iran went on to demolish one of world’s super powers.

Germany failed to learn from their earlier mistake and kept back paddling each time Iran declared threat to their box.The impact of the result left Germany coach Christian Wuck dumbfounded as he concluded that his side failed to deliver on the evening.
“It’s hard to find words,” he said. “None of my players found the level they can play, but in the end Iran were very aggressive, strong and fast. We had too much respect for them.”

Quizzed weather the heat, complacency or a brilliant Iran side played more of a role in their defeat, Wuck replied, “All those aspects contributed to the fact that Germany could not perform to a good level. Let’s say that Iran played a great match and we didn’t play at our level.
“I told my players that during their careers they will face many setbacks and this is probably one of their biggest setbacks but we have to come back strongly against Guinea.” Germany and Guinea, who drew 2-2 against Costa Rica on Tuesday, will play their last group stage fixture at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium at Kochi. It is sure by the words of the German coach that they completely surrendered to the German defense.

Inside six minutes, they stormed into the lead after intial hit from Mohammad Sharifi bounced back from the German goaliee and felled straight to Younes Delfi who wasted little time to convert opening his team’s chance to score more.

Iran did not stop there with more efforts directed towards the shaky German defense. A 30 yard free kick almost made the goal of the season but unfortunately for Shahiri it struck the crossbar with Plogmann rooted to the spot. Minutes after, Plogmann was called into action to parry away Sayyad’s goal searching long ranger.

Iran did not had to wait long for the ball to go inside the German post once again just before half time. Delfi doubling his tally of the night with an aristocratic header from a Shahiri free kick. The pair once again caused nightmares in the German defense.

It was sure that the game is well out of reach of the Germans and that was confirmed soon after the second half whistle rang. Allahyar Sayyad picked his second goal of the World cup campaign when Namdiri’s cross met his glancing header to ripple the upper corner of the net.

To end the frustration routing Christian’s head, Van Namdari cooly slid past Plogmann to ensure qualification and to terminate unbelievable celebration and joy at Fatorda.
