PSG have already identified Emery’s replacement
Paris Saint-Germain have already identified their next manager.
Former Valencia and Sevilla boss Unai Emery took the PSG hotseat before 2016/17 season. His first year at the French capital didn’t go according to the plan though as PSG surrendered their dominance over Ligue 1 title to Monaco and bowed out of the Champions League round of 16.
Although PSG chiefs decided to give Emery another chance this year, they are considering replacing him inspite of the fact that PSG are at the top of the Ligue 1 table and have already beaten the mighty Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
According to French outlet Le10 Sport, current Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim is PSG’s preferred choice to replace Emery. Jardim led Monaco to it’s first Ligue 1 title in 17 years. His young and hungry Monaco side displayed some fearsome attacking display which was applauded throughout the footballing community.
PSG director Antero Henrique believes Jardim is the right candidate to hand PSG the ultimate glory i.e Champions League. On the eve of this season, Jardim extended his contract at Monaco upto 2020 but the Parisian club is confident of convincing the Venezuelan to swap Monaco for PSG.
