Fenerbahce to launch bid for Manchester United defender

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are plotting January swoop for Dutch defender Daley Blind.

Daley Blind, 27, knows left-back is his best possible bet to cement a place in the starting XI considering Mourinho prefers Phil Jones and Eric Bailly as first choice centre-backs with Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof as their understudies. But he has started this season inconsistently with both Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young have been preferred over him at left-back position. Blind has been restricted to just 270 minutes of top flight action so far. That leads to speculation of Blind’s willingness to try himself elsewhere if right offer arrives.

Now Turkish publication Hurriyet reports that Fenerbahce are eyeing a sensational January swoop for Netherlands international defender Daley Blind.

Blind, himself is keen on making a move as he fears lack of first-team action at Old Trafford might hamper his chance of making the Dutch side for the World Cup next year should they qualify for the same.
