Algerian football company Le Buteur claims to have been informed by trusted sources that Pep Guardiola has joined fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea in hoping for striking a cheap deal for the 26-year-old Algerian international Faouzi Ghoulam after losing Benjamin Mendy to a long-term injury. Mendy is out till April and Pep will hope to get a sound replacement for the French left back next transfer window.

Ghoulam has not yet signed a new contract at Napoli and hopes to move to a European giant next January. The 26-year old left back has performed very well for Italian side this season, appearing in all the matches for them and has won 33 duels so far.

He would completely fit into the Guardiola system as he has raw pace and is defensively sound. Pep will truly hope to get his man and bring him to the Etihad next January to boost Manchester City’s title chances as he faces stiff competition from other Premier League giants to land the charismatic fullback.
