Arsenal eyeing a swap with PSG for one of their stars

Arsene Wenger is having a tough life at the Emirates as he is finding it tough to persuade his players to stay following their poor run in the Premier League last year when they failed to finish in the top 4 and as a result are playing the Europa League this season. Players of the ranks of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil certainly don’t look satisfied with their team’s dismal run this year too and hope to compete in the most elite competitions and are destined to leave the Gunners next transfer window. Arsenal are currently 5th on the league table, 6 points behind leaders Man City.

With the news of Ozil joining United for free coming January, more transfer rumours surfaced recently where Wenger is reportedly interested in a swap for rebellious Chilean talisman Alexis Sanchez and PSG’s unsettled French recruit Julian Draxler. Sanchez has not yet signed a new deal at the club and will be available for a meagre amount in the January transfer window. Draxler has scored once and assisted once in the 8 matches he has played while Sanchez has also scored once and has assisted just for a single time in the 6 matches he has starred in this season.

Draxler is believed to be surplus to needs in Unai Emery’ squad just after one year of his arrival to the French capitol following the arrival of superstar Neymar and French teenage prodigy Kylian Mbappe this summer.

Sanchez had earlier hinted at a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this summer but the deal fell off in the final minutes of the deadline day leading to much fuss in the Arsenal dressing room. Only time will tell what the January transfer window has in store for both the want-away superstars.
