Bayern Munich hitman set to miss 3 months of play-time after an awkward knee injury
Things do not look good for the defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. The Bavarian side have recently sacked their manager Carlo Ancelotti after dismal match perfomances, notably losing 3-0 away to a rampaging PSG side last week. Munich are currently 2nd on the league table, 5 points behind a rejuvenated Dortmund side.
But things worsened for the Reds as their long-time servant Frank Ribery suffered a rather nasty knee injury during their frustrating outing against Hertha away which ended 2-2. He had an awkward fall during his run in the 62nd minute of the game and was seen in pain as he was subbed off immediately.
Bayern later confirmed an ACL tear for the 34-year old French international who is set to miss at least 3 months of playing action including crucial Champions League matches against PSG (home), Celtic and RSC Anderlecht. He will also miss most of the first legs of Bundesliga fixtures, especially against Dortmund earlier next month.
