JSW Steel, YMCA and KNFC register crucial victories in MDFA 2nd Division League

The 2nd Division League of Mumbai District Football Association has reached it’s 7th day today. The Matchday witnessed three well-contested battles throughout the day.

YMCA hammer four past Sahar Silver riding on Shaikh Abdul’s hat-trick while Rahul Yadav’s brace gives JSW Steel a win, with KNFC beating Athens in other game

In the opening encounter of 2nd division games, KNFC faced Athens XI for a group D game with KNFC emerging victorious. After Ronaldo Brangaza had put Athens XI in lead in the 23rd minute, Brendon brought back the game level terms five minutes later. In the second half, Shoaib Shah fired the winner in the 58th minute to finish of the game for KNFC.

Game 1: KNFC (Naseeb Reloaded) 2 (Brendon Ronaldo 28’, Shoaib Shah 58’) – 1 Athens XI (Ronaldo Brangaza 23’)

In the second game, Sahar Silver Stars SC faced YMCA for a group G fixture with the latter picking up a comfortable victory. Ansari Adnan had put YMCA in front to make it 1-0 at the half time. However in the second half, Shaikh Abdul came up with two quick goals in the space of 3 minutes to make it 3-0. Wilbur D’souza reduced the deficit in the 52nd minute but Shaikh Abdul restored the three goal lead with the completion of his hat-trick at the hour mark as the game ended at 4-1.

Game 2: YMCA 4 (Ansari Adnan 29’, Shaikh Abdul 46’, 49’, 60’) – 1 Sahar Siver Stars SC (Wilbur D’souza 52’)

In the final 2nd division game for the day, Feugo Tormento FC faced a strong JSW steel in a group D game, Rahul Malviya put the steelers in frontin the 19th minute, before a second half brace from Rahul Yadav finished off the game for Feugo with JSW Steel ending the tie at 3-0 picking up their first win after opening fame loss.
