Manchester City and Manchester United are all set to battle each other to secure the services of Serbian midfielder Milinković.

Sergej Milinković-Savić is one of the most exciting young talents in Serie A right now. The 22-year-old Serbian U-21 international has attracted a lot of interest from top European clubs, thanks to his string of fine performances since moving to the Stadio Olimpico in 2015.

Now, according to his agent, clubs across Europe including those from Madrid, Manchester and Milan have already contacted Lazio for the Serbian.

Milinković agent and former Chelsea midfielder Mateja Kežman told Radio CRC:

‘There’s been a lot of interest from several clubs, such as those in Madrid, Manchester and Milan.’

‘But he wants to be happy, to play to keep growing and become one of the best in his role.

‘It’s difficult to see him away from Lazio, where he has started the season very well, but I can’t rule out him leaving.

‘If Milinković-Savić keeps this up, there will be plenty of contact from different clubs, like there was (in the summer transfer window).

‘We’ll see what happens but, for now, what matters is that he’s growing under (Simone) Inzaghi, who’s a great coach.’

Milinković has started the new season on a brighter note having a huge infuence on Lazio’s unbeaten run in Serie A so far and their Supercoppa Italiana win over Juventus. Although his agent confirmed that the Serbian is happy at Lazio, he didn’t rule out any future move.

Savić was previously linked with Arsenal and Chelsea last summer but nothing was materalised as he decided to pen a new deal with Lazio that would run until 2022.
