Neymar and Cavani’s ego clashes becoming prominent, Emery feeling the heat!
The game of shadows and limelight continues in the PSG squad following a small argument between Neymar and Dani Alves with Edison Cavani.
PSG continued their 100% winning streak in Ligue1 and also in Europe with a 2-0 win last night thanks to strikes from Cavani and Mbappe leading to deflection by Morel and Marcelo resulting in own goals. However, the 79th minute of the game saw Cavani and Neymar arguing over a penalty. The Uruguayan took the penalty only to be denied by the bar.
One of the costliest attacking trio right now has seen two of the players fighting over the ball pretty often which remains as a great concern for the head coach Unai Emery. There has been a battlefor limelight between a senior striker and the club’s most valuable player recently.
Another time a footage showed Dani Alves taking the ball away from Cavani and denying to give it to him and gave to his compatriot winger. Big money being spent, team unity now is a major concern as a result of so many stars in the dressing room.

Unai Emery expects Edinson Cavani and Neymar to come to an agreement on the penalty taking responsibilities after the pair argued over a spot-kick during Paris Saint-Germain’s win against Lyon.
The PSG boss wants to leave it up to his star duo to decide on the spot-kick duties, but he will intervene if necessary
PSG continued their 100 per cent start to the Ligue 1 season with a 2-0 victory at home against Lyon thanks to a pair of own goals, a result somewhat overshadowed by the disagreement between their star Latin maestros.
Cavani and €222 million arrival Neymar quarrelled over a penalty in the 79th minute — the Uruguayan eventually winning the argument with his new team-mate only to be denied by the bar.
PSG head coach Emery said he wants to leave it up to Cavani and Neymar to decide on the spot-kick duties but he will intervene if necessary.
“The penalties are to be struck by a few players, one is Cavani and the other is Neymar,” Emery said.
“It takes a gentleman’s agreement on the ground to hit the penalties.
“Afterwards, we will arrange internally for the penalties that are coming in, because I think both are able to score them, and I want the two to alternate in this exercise.
“If there is no agreement, I will decide. I do not want it to be a problem for us.”
Can PSG resolve these issues? Such will be the questions before the Ligue 1 giants would try to re-establish their dominance in France and also challenge for the European glory.
