PSG looking to sell numerous players to meet Financial Fair play regulations
French club Paris Saint Germain might sell midfielders Julian Draxler, Angel Di Maria and Lucas Moura in the January transfer window in order to meet Financial Fair play regulations.
PSG signed Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco on loan for an extraordinary fee of €180 million. But that was not it for the Parisians, as they signed Neymar from FC Barcelona for a record transfer fee of €222 million.
After spending over 400 million in the summer, Unai Emery’s side is looking sell some players in order to make up for their enormous summer spending.
PSG stars Draxler and Di Maria were both wanted by FC Barcelona in the summer, but the club refused to sell them.
However, Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims that PSG will let both of them go alongside Brazilian Lucas Moura, in the next transfer window.
Di Maria’s Argentine team mate, Lionel Messi himself wants the winger at Barcelona. As far as, Draxler is concerned he is being wanted by numerous Premier League clubs over the summer, most notably Arsenal FC, Manchester United and Liverpool FC.
It has also been reported that fellow PSG players Kevin Trapp and Javier Pastore could also be sold along with this trio.
Trapp, himself would want to leave the club after losing his place in the first team to Alphonse Areola.
Lucas Moura was once targeted by Premier League leaders, Manchester United. Jose Mourinho’s side wanted to sign the player when he eventually left Sao Paolo for PSG, and might once again go after him in the New Year.
