Crotone vs Inter Milan Match Preview
Serie A: Crotone vs Inter Milan Match Preview
Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over SPAL at the weekend continued their strong start to the new season. Having seen off Fiorentina and Roma, they are now set for a visit to a struggling Crotone side.
Crotone’s start doesn’t suggest they’ll be able to offer much in return. Having failed to score in any of their first three games, the Calabrians are clearly lacking firepower.
With Inter packed full of goals and Crotone failing to hit the target, this should be Inter’s fifth straight win by two or more goals in Serie A.
Crotone come into this match with just one point from three matches, and they will have to know that three points- or even one- will be a massive uphill climb this time around against Inter Milan. They have already lost this season at home to Milanese opposition in the form of AC Milan on the opening day by a score of 0-3. The point they did get was from a 0-0 draw there with Hellas Verona. Last time out, they lost 1-0 in Cagliari. The visitors were second best throughout, and they rightfully fell thanks to a 33rd minute goal from Marco Sau. The result is a disappointing one, and it’s one that will have them believing they might just be in for a relegation scrap yet again.

Inter Milan: With Inter firing on all cylinders, they should be able to rack up a few goals in this trip. They have Mauro Icardi scoring goals for fun, and he’ll be eying up another strike when they travel to the Calabrians. One man to keep an eye on is Ivan Perisic, who has made a bright start to the season after staying at the club, with Man United interested in him this summer. The Croatian is in good form.
Spalletti will be without center midfielder Assane Gnoukouri for some time still after his heart condition reared up. Right back Joao Cancelo is out with a knee injury, and isn’t expected to return until October.
Crotone: Having lost main man Diego Falcinelli this summer, Crotone were always going to struggle this time around. He helped fire them to safety last term, but Crotone clearly haven’t done enough to replace his goals this season.
Crotone will come into this match without the services of winger Aleksandar Tonev due to injury. Other than that, they have nothing to force them into making changes ahead of facing in-form Inter.
Head to Head Record
Inter won 3-0 at home to Crotone last season, while they lost 2-1 here in one of their lowest points in a poor season.
Crotone have failed to score in their last three matches. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in six of Inter’s last seven away trips, while they’ve scored at least twice in their last five in the league.
