Arsenal FC confident on getting Lemar deal done.
Premier League Arsenal FC are confident about the signing of Thomas Lemar from AS Monaco.
The Gunners have assured that they return for the Monaco player in the January transfer window and they don’t have to sell their Chilean star, Alexis Sanchez in order to get the signing of Lemar done.
Wenger’s men saw a 92 million bid get rejected for Lemar, because the player wanted to join Arsenal’s league rivals Liverpool FC instead, as the deal fell out on the deadline day of the transfer window for Wenger.
Reports have suggested that the Gunners failed to complete the player’s signing on deadline day because of Lemar’s involvement with the French team that evening.
Liverpool could not get the deal done for the player, as a result of which Lemar stayed with Monaco but the Daily Star has now reported that the player is keener on signing with the North London club now.
It seems like The Gunners will offer Lemar a contract of five years with a deal worth £250,000 per week.
Arsenal could have signed the Frenchman for a total of 30 million earlier in the summer transfer window but hesitated because they had doubts over his commercial value.
However, Manchester City still remain confident that they will land Alexis Sanchez sooner rather than later in the upcoming transfer window but Arsene Wenger believes that the player will sign a new contract with the club.
Wenger stated earlier today that: “There is a chance of keeping him [Alexis Sanchez], yes. He is committed and focused on Arsenal. That’s what makes me believe it.”
