Mumbai City’s Twitter handle makes a big blooper, fails to recognise their player!
‘To err is human’, this is perhaps one of the most universally used proverbs courtesy to the fact that we are human, and we do make mistake. But when that mistake becomes something serious then that spontaneously becomes a topic of conversation.
Such has probably happened today with the Twitter team of Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC. Indian national team won their match against Macau earlier today via a brace from Balwant Singh. As a consequence, congratulating tweets and statements showered from all over Indian football circuit upon the ‘Blue Tigers’. Amidst all these, Mumbai City FC’s official twitter handle made a big mistake.
After the first goal scored by Balwant Singh, the twitter handle of Mumbai City FC tweeted congratulating Balwant Singh for the goal who would don the jersey of Mumbai in the upcoming ISL. But instead of giving the picture of Balwant Singh, they gave the image of his fellow international Robin Singh!
Soon after the tweet, they fell prey to trolls as a result. Several pages on social media also started making Memes on this! Whether it was a mistake or lack of knowledge from the concerned authority will never be known. But whatever it is, the blooper has really been a topic of comic discussions among the Indian football fans today.
