New documentary “Hala Madrid” shares insight into the Real Madrid organization

Real Madrid have launched a new web-series titled “Hala Madrid” in an effort to increase interaction with the global fan base.

The eight-episode series will document the life of Real Madrid and its players, with exclusive insights into team talks, warm-ups, training, equipments used and the club’s connection with the fans.

Shot in partnership with GoPro last year, the series provides a 360° view of all the on and off-field actions.

Facebook’s newly launched video platform Watch debuted the series. Two episodes have already been released and US based fans can watch them on Facebook’s Watch page while globally, the episodes are available on the Hala Madrid page. The new episodes will be available on Saturdays starting from September 9.

“With this new show on Watch, our passionate community of Real Madrid fans on Facebook will have an opportunity to view something very special,” Real Madrid’s global digital director Rafael de los Santos said in a statement. “We believe this series will not only resonate with these Real Madrid fans, but will also be interesting to the millions of people around the world who consume content on Facebook.”

Real Madrid’s efforts to interact with global fans has been well documented. For the past year, the club has sought to engage its massive fan following, taking its Real Madrid TV content to Facebook Live.

It certainly seems to have paid off. At the end of last month, when the club broadcasted its
Trofeo Santiago Bernabéu match against ACF Fiorentina on Facebook Live, the game was viewed over 4.3 million times worldwide.
