Real Madrid will be playing their first home game of the 2017-18 La Liga season when they host Valencia at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The Los Blancos kick-started their league campaign with a 3-0 victory over Deportivo and are favourites to retain the title.
However, Real Madrid will be without the service of their skipper Sergio Ramos who received a red card last weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo is still serving his 5-match ban for pushing the referee in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup at the Camp Nou. New inclusion Jesús Vallejo is sidelined with an injury. Raphaël Varane seems to have shaken off a minor problem to start on Sunday with Nacho at the back. Alternatively, Zidane can look to Casemiro or Marcos Llorente to start in the central defence. In the upfront, Gareth Bale is likely to feature alongside Karim Benzema and Isco.
Valencia kicked off La Liga with a 1-0 win at home to Las Palmas. Former Real Madrid defender Ezequiel Garay is set to miss the game due to an injury. Geoffrey Kondogbia and Jeison Murillo are expected to make their debuts for the Mestalla-based club.
The Los Che haven’t won in any of their last 9 La Liga games at the Santiago Bernabéu with 4 draws and 5 defeats.
