English side Everton Fc managed to reach the group stage after a thrilling 1-1 draw with Croatian club Hajduck Split (3-1 on agg). Having won comfortable at Goodinson park, it was guaranteed that the returning leg will turn to a do or die contest. The truth of that statement made by Radocevic’s superb strike turned the tie upside down. But Everton unleash ed its hidden weapon at the beginning of the second half in the form of new record signing Gyrfi Sigurdsson. The £45m Iceland International scored a 45 yard screamer to snatch the tie back. But the man of the show was young goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford who saved a decisive penalty deep in the second half to ensure qualification. Everton join fellow English club Arsenal in the group stage draw.

Italian giants Ac Milan began their celebration for their placement in Friday night draw as they cruise to a 0-1 victory over Shkendija. Already confirming the way to the group stage at San Siro with a 6-0 victory, Milan only had to sit back and defense to enjoy European football in major competition again. The game’s only goal came from Cutrone in the 13th minute.

Olympique Marseille picked up a comprehensive victory of 3-0 scoreline against Nk Domzale. After a frustating draw (1-1) in the first leg, Marseille used up most of their home advantage as two goals from Velo Germain and the man of match Thauvin’s goal sealed qualification.
Ill luck in European qualification came once again in the path of Dutch heavyweights Ajax. They fall to a 3-2 defeat to Rosenborg (4-2 on aggregate). Last season Europa league runners- up faced disqualification in the early stages of the competition after failing to qualify for Champions league playoff round.

In an attempt to clear 1-0 deficit in the 1st leg, Ajax were let down by an early goal from Bendtner. Though Amin Younes and Larsi Schöne again turned the tie to the Amsterdam side, a late brace from Adegbenro killed their hopes of a possible comeback.
Elswhere, Austria Wien qualified on away goals against Osijek. Athelitic Club overcame Panathikanos challange and reach the group stage for fourth successive season and Aek Athens defeated Club Brugge 3-0 to ensure qualification.
