Barcelona close to Dembele deal after meeting Dortmund’s requirements
The 20-year-old left winger, who came through the academy and youth set-up at Rennes, has agreed to a 5-year contract and is scheduled to undergo a medical this week.
Ousmane Dembele, who is all set to become the second most expensive player in the history of football, will cost Barça an initial €120m, with BVB set to receive a further €30m in bonuses.

Dembele joined Dortmund in 2016 from Rennes, and quickly grabbed the eyeballs of the football fraternity by showcasing his vast array of skills on display. In a scintillating debut season, Dembele was named to the Bundesliga Team of the Season and awarded the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award.
Barcelona, who were left frustrated in their chase of Brazilian starlet Philippe Coutinho, were in the market for an attacking winger since Neymar left for Paris Saint-Germain.
Philippe Coutinho was one of the priorities of the Barcelona board after Neymar’s departure, and a move to Camp Nou seemed imminent when Coutinho submitted a transfer request.
However, LFC had other ideas as they refused to negotiate for their star playmaker, who like Dembele declined to commit his future to the club once speculation began.
Dembele appeared a total of 50 times for BVB, scoring 10 goals in all competitions.
