Germany and Bayern München legend to arrive at ‘The City of joy’ in September
Kolkata, ‘The city of joy’ is popularly known as ‘The Mecca of Indian football’ and Durga Puja is the biggest festival of the Bengalees. And when a blend between football and Durga Puja takes place, there can’t be any bigger issue of delight for the people in this part of the world.
The biggest festival of Bengal is only one month away and already football legends like Maradona and Enzo Francescoli are scheduled to arrive at Kolkata in the upcoming month.
Well as it seems, there is going to be addition of another name in that illustrious list of guests. Legendary German Goalkeeper Oliver Kahn is set to arrive at Kolkata for the second time just ahead of the festival.
According to sources, he is coming to the city on a roundup programme organised by a concern and may also inaugurate a Durga Puja-Pandal in Chetla region of Kolkata on the eve of Mahalaya.
Just like Diego Maradona, it’s going to be the second visit of ‘King Kahn’ to ‘The City of joy’. His previous visit was back in 2008 when the Bayern Munchen team came to the city to play the testimonial game of Kahn against Mohun Bagan in front 100 thousand plus spectators.
