Europa league runners-up Afc Ajax overturn a shock defeat to Heracles in the opening day with a 3-1 win over Fc Gronigen. The match saw the returning Klaas Jan Huntelaar scored after about 9 years with a thumping header from Hakim Ziyech’s cross. Ziyech turned provider to scorer in 48th minute with a decisive shot back in the net. Drissi narrowed the gap on 73rd minute but Lasir Schone was there to nail it to complete scoring.
Psv Eindhoven overcome the challange of Nec Breda with a 4-1 win. Strikes from Bergwin, Van Ginkel, Lozano and Hendrix was enough to seal victory.
