Chelsea Interested In Signing PSG Duo Within This Transfer Window
Chelsea FC have been targeting Paris Saint Germain duo of Serge Aurier and Grzegorz Krychowiak.
The Blues seem to be interested in bringing the duo to London, after the departure of Nemanja Matic to Manchester United. French outlet L’Equipe has reported that PSG needs to sell players, after the world record signing of Brazilian star Neymar from FC Barcelona. Unai Emery has already sold star midfielder Blaise Matuidi to Italian champions Juventus for a fee of 18 million and Spaniard Jese Rodriguez to Stoke City. It has also been reported that Emery wants to get rid of winger Hatem Ben Arfa as well.

Chelsea made an approach for Polish midfielder Krychowiak last month and still remain interested in signing him. Krychowiak, who signed for PSG last summer from Sevilla has failed to impress Unai Emery at PSG.

The player made just 19 appearances in all competitions last season and has been transfer listed by the club. There have also been talks of a possible loan spell for the player back in Spain but this time with Valenica. The sale of Matic to Manchester United means that there is a spot open at the club’s defensive midfield, and much to Conte tactics and requirements Krychowiak remains as a favourite who could fill in that role for The Blues.
The Blues did make the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco last month for a fee of 40 million, but an injury has sidelined the player for quite some time. Despite his unimpressive stint at Parc the Princes, Krychowiak had a very successful run during his time at Spain with Sevilla where he won the UEFA Europa League twice in a row.
Unai Emery has also recently claimed that the midfielder would indeed leave the club .
“I’ve spoken with him. He’s a quality player who can play in a very good team. But at PSG, players must be capable of crossing an additional step to adapt to the play of the team. It’s not the same as at other teams.” said Emery
Antonio Conte also has his sights set on PSG right back, Serge Aurier who has gained attraction from other Premier League clubs, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United who reportedly seem to be leading the race to sign the player.
Following the arrival of Dani Alves at PSG it could only mean the Ivorian would also be shown the exit door at the club.
