The Spanish club has bagged in Carlos Bacca from AC Milan for a season long loan deal on Wednesday.

The Yellow Submarines are delighted with the new addition to their ford-line before the start of a new season.

Both Villareal and AC Milan have come to an agreement that the Colombian striker will join the Spanish club on a season long loan deal and the deal also has an option to buy the player at the end of the season.

The La Liga side will reportedly pay a €2.5 million fee for the loan, with a further €15.5m required should they choose to make the move permanent.

Bacca was linked with a move back to Sevilla and clubs like Marseille and Monaco were also on the cards during this transfer window. He spent 2 seasons in Milan after completing a move from Sevilla and had scored 31 goals in Serie A.
Milan have invested heavily this transfer window and with the arrivals of Andre Silva, Fabio Borini and emergence of young forward Patrick Crutone has made Carlos Bacca surplus to their requirements.

Milan are also linked with Nikola Kalinic, Andrea Belotti and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, so it seems the right decision for Bacca to seek a move elsewhere in search of regular football before the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Bacca can be a good addition to Villareal’s side as the 30-year old Colombia international has previously featured in La Liga with Sevilla for two seasons and he managed to score 34 league goals and also played a crucial role in winning the Europa League on both occasions.
