Pep Guardiola linked with a move for Spanish midfielder
Manchester City are ready to raid Real Madrid for the second time this summer.
Pep Guardiola is keen to add 22-year-old former Spanish U-21 international Marcos Llorente from Real Madrid this summer. Llorente spent last season on loan at Alaves and impressed everyone.

Although Zidane promised him game time at Madrid, that would be hard to get considering the Los Blancos already have Casemiro, Modric, Isco, Kovacic and Ceballos to fill in midfield.
Manchester City, on the other hand, have spent a huge amount of money this summer but central midfield area still remains a thing of concern for them. Age has taken a toll on Fernandinho’s form, Toure is also expected to play a bit-part role this season and Gundogan’s injury concerns might haunt City later this season. These have prompted Guardiola to make a move for Llorente.
According to Diario Gol, City have identified Llorente as someone who can easily reach Busquets’ or Xavi Alonso’s level in near future. They are ready to make an official approach this week.
